In everything that is ugly or hideous, beauty can also be found. The things that make us feel uncomfortable often must be embraced if true growth is to occur.

As a painter I reconcile beauty with horror and all things unusual. In doing so, I hope to convey both positive and negative emotions. The human experience can be lovely and soft, but also ugly and cruel. Portraiture is the primary foundation of my work, however each one is warped and reshaped in its own way to create unique and haunting compositions. These portraits invite the viewer/audience to rest in vulnerability, while also confronting them with uneasiness. As an artist I create spaces that allow my audience to experience and accept what they feel, even if it is often uncomfortable.
